This is the second much hyped, well marketed book by Savi Sharma, that I happened to read this month. Even thought it’s a little better than it predecessor I don’t think I will be reading any more books from her.
STUFF ON THE BACKCOVER SAYS
Shaurya, a CA student. This is his story of following his dreams.
Miraya, an interior designer. This is her story of believing in love.
Anubhav, an aspiring entrepreneur. This is his story of giving life another chance.
After her record-breaking debut novel Everyone Has A Story, Savi Sharma tells a transforming tale of courage, hope and self-discovery
PLOT IN SHORT
The plot is on the same lines as her previous book – people trying to chase dreams.. various problems pop up..which leads to a period of sadness/depression..then hope/love is found through friend’s encouragement and boom..finally follow your dream and find true love.
- The language is better than the previous book
- Predictable story line
- Unbelievable how 3 people become friends with a drunk suicidal guy after saving him
- Repetitive use of words-‘this is not your story’ really got to me
- Anubhav’s character was the weakest link of this book with poor character development and unrealistic storyline.
I personally feel the book would be much better with more fleshed out background story for Anubhav. Over all it’s a so-so book to be read .It wont hurt to give this one a miss.
A collection of funny observations about everyday life through Twinkle Khanna’s eyes is what this book is all about .
So if your looking for any gossip or BTS of her superstar husbands life, you wont find any of that. You will however find a book full of short breezy chapters in acceptable English written in a casual tone that will make you chuckle, smile and maybe even laugh and help you relax after a tiring day. I found it refreshing to read a book written in a self depreciating style by a Indian Celeb.
Give it a try if you want something of a ‘fluff’ to read.
I picked up this Amazon bestseller to achieve my goal of reading more Indian English Literature and boy was I disappointed.

Pull up a chair in Kafe Kabir and watch them explore friendship and love, writing their own pages of life from the cosy café to the ends of the world

He comes back and tells his dramatic past. Girl runs away. Gets into an accident. Goes into a coma. Boy confesses his love. Girl opens her eyes.
- Some inspirational talk in between
- The language is very simple
- Only two characters are given the limelight
- The story is unrealistic so many times
I have two main questions as to how can anyone chase someone for a story just because they look good and second why would any Indian parent not come to see their coma stricken daughter is beyond me. I did not like this book at all. Any one looking for an inspirational romance book with absolutely nothing else to do can go for this book.

Plot in short
The story of Jacquline and Lucas will keep give the satisfaction of having read a good young adult romance along with a great social message. The serious topic of college molestation and sexual assault has been handled well.
A light read
Enjoyable with correct amount of love humor and maturity
Word building not so great
Something was amiss in this good crossover book
A nice medium paced book to read without the usual teenage sloppy drama.
This one is for the romance lover and girl power lover as well
