Life in the Sunshine: Autobiography of an Unknown Cricketer by T. Satish

What do you need with the world cup going on right now? More cricket! And this book gives you a healthy dose of just that.
The plot revolves around the triple sundaye gang of Sat, Sam and Trib. These three boys like most boys thier age live and breathe cricket and want to make a career in it. They do everything they can to make the most of thier love for the game besides doing everything an average Indian does – watch and discuss each and every match. As they turn into adults will thier dreams come true? Will they be able to wear the blue and play for India? Or does life have something else in store for them?

The plot is engaging and entertaining. The characters are well developed and relatable. The cover is perfect for this book. I was so nostalgic while reading this book. I have had similar memories revolving around the game while growing up. I especially loved the way the author has ended this book – with practical life lessons one can learn from cricket. If you are someone who does not follow cricket you’ll find the detailed description of the matches to be annoying. Except for the people who don’t like the game , I highly recommend this book to everyone.
