I loved the first book of this series. The movie introduced me to dinosaurs and the books made me fall in love with them. This meant I had to read the part 2 and watch all the movies in this series all over again.

STUFF ON THE BACKCOVER SAYS

It is now six years since the secret disaster at Jurassic Park, six years since the extraordinary dream of science and imagination came to a crashing end – the dinosaurs destroyed, the park dismantled, the island indefinitely closed to the public. There are rumors that something has survived..

PLOT IN SHORT

It is discovered by our lead characters that the now defunct InGen had a dino production facility on an island called Isla Sorna. In a quest to find more about this ‘lost world’ they end up on the island. However a family of T-Rexs and a group of Raptors make their stay on the island very difficult. How our group survives the whole ordeal, is the premise of this book.

THE GOOD

  • fast paced
  • lot of action
  • nicely written

THE BAD

  • the start is rather boring
  • too much is written about theories of extinction etc

MY THOUGHTS

I really enjoyed reading this book after forcing myself to read the first few boring pages. I loved how bad-ass Sarah Harding’s character was. The movie didn’t do any justice to the book. I liked the first book more than this one. If you loved the first book do give this one a try.

MY RATINGS

4/5J
