This is one of the lesser known SK books. The extremely creative writer wrote this book after he met with an accident while jogging.
STUFF ON THE BACK-COVER SAYS
In a secret shed behind the barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop D, there’s a cherry Buick Roadmaster no one has touched in years — because there’s more power under the hood than anyone can handle…
PLOT IN SHORT
It’s a story about a little boy who spends a lot of time in police barracks after the death of his father, who happens to be a member of the police force. How he learns about a supernatural car and its power through stories and “lightquakes” forms the central theme of this book.
The bond the child shares with the cops is heart warming
Not the same as “Christine”
Not exactly a horror novel
No major thrills
Can be boring if you aren’t a diehard SK fan
Its an okayish book. Not good not bad. However the range of SKs imagination never ceases to fascinate me. Read it if you want a little offbeat supernatural read. Can be skipped otherwise.
